Update

It's been awhile since this has been updated but here's what's gone on since:

- United South baseball coach Wade McDaniel, who jumped on board 2 years ago, turned in his resignation a week and a half ago.

- Alexander's Kristy Gonzalez and Sam Humphreys are headed to the Class 5A track and field meet a few weeks from now. Look for more next week in regard to their tremendous accomplishments.

- Cigarroa pulled off a HUGE upset on Monday by topping Roma, 5-2, in Game 3 of its Class 4A bi-district playoffs. The Toros were the fourth seed in District 31-4A. Roma was champs of its district. Cigarroa plays Uvalde tonight in its area play-off at Veterans Field.

- The United Longhorns are also still alive in the baseball playoffs. No shocker there. They're playing Brownsville Lopez in their Class 5A area play-off tonight at Texas A&M-Kingsville.

- Alexander's Sergio "Red" Velasquez is signing to play baseball at LCC today at the Alexander High library at 2 p.m.
